Summer is the perfect time to be in Calgary because you will never be bored. There are many interesting festivals going on in June, with something for every traveler, whether they are new to the city or repeat visitors.

If you’re staying at the Regency Suites Hotel in June, try to check out one or more of these festivals:

1. Lilac Festival

When: June 4, 2017

Time: 10 am to 6 pm

Cost: Free

The Lilac Festival is a free, one-day street festival that features an all-ages parade on 4th S.W. Next, attendees get to enjoy the weather while exploring offerings from hundreds of vendors. There are also street performers and over 30 music performances spread out throughout the day.

2. Performance in the Park 2017

When: June 9 - 10, 2017

Time: Friday 6:30 pm to 9:45 pm and Saturday 3 pm to 7 pm

Cost: $52.50 for two days, $35 one-day adult tickets, $12.50 for children

Performance in the Park is an outdoor concert in Banff, where you’re surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Hedley is performing on Friday, with Ria Mae as the opening act. On Saturday, Walk Off the Earth is playing with openers Amistad. This year’s event will be extra special, celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday.

3. Sled Island Music and Arts Festival

When: June 21 - 25, 2017

The Sled Island Festival takes place over the span of five days celebrating art and music with many different events, performances, vendors, and installments. This year’s guest curator is popular California DJ, Flying Lotus.
